Oh god.. I almost died of laughter when I saw the picture. Then I did die when I read everyone elses replies.

My opinion is that he just got really screwy genetics and he was beaten with the ugly stick at a young age, so much that he suffered mental damage. This damage caused him to think he was an ostrich, so he went to the nearest zoo and attempted to live with the ostriches. They attacked him, thinking he was way too fugly to be one. For the better of the world, the gatemen at the zoo trapped him into the ostrich pen and forced them to cooperate and live in peace.

Chromosome disorder, Wolf-Hirschhorn or Edwards syndrome perhaps? I think I've seen that pic somewhere before not 100% sure though.
